Resin Care
Share
Resin is a very durable material and is easy to care for. It can be used in water, can be frozen, played with in dry materials and much more. Our resin is FDA approved and considered food safe. We however, never recommend eating off of our resin unless it is a clear product as adding color compromises it.
Things to know:
- Although it is rare, resin can chip. To fix a chip you can use a nailfile to get rid of the sharpness.
- Resin can warp in transit. This is an easy fix! If you run the resin under hot water until it is bendable and place it on a flat surface it will go back to form.
- Clear resin items can yellow if left in the sun for long periods of time. They will also become soft from the heat. Place them in cold water to bring them back hard.
Resin is a handmade product. We use all necessary options to prevent imperfections, and although rare at times there can be minor imperfections that are completely normal to occur in resin.
